Which Shoelace Length Do I Need?
Share
Good news: you don't need a tape measure (although we'll tell you how if you fancy it).
Step 1: Count your eyelets
Count the holes on one side of your shoe. That's your number of eyelet pairs.
Step 2: Find your length
| Eyelets on one side | Length | Usually fits |
|---|---|---|
| 4–5 | 100cm | Kids' shoes, plimsolls, low-cut trainers |
| 5–6 | 120cm | Most adult trainers and golf shoes |
| 6–7 | 140cm | High-tops, chunky trainers, walking shoes and boots |
Still not sure?
Take out your old lace and measure it end to end, then choose the closest length.
Going for a fancy lacing style?
Some of the patterns in our Lace Library, like Ladder, Hash or Double Helix, use a bit more lace than classic criss-cross. If you're between sizes, go for the longer one. A little extra is easy to tuck away, but you can't magic up a few more centimetres!
Not every design comes in every length
Availability changes with stock. If the length you need isn't showing on your favourite pair, drop us a message and we'll let you know when it's back or suggest something similar.
