Europe Win the 2026 Solheim Cup - And They Did It in Style

Team Europe have won the 2026 Solheim Cup.

And while we'll leave the serious analysis of birdies, putts and match-play decisions to the golf experts, here at Love Your Laces there was something else we couldn't help noticing all week.

The colour.

Blue. Yellow. White. Stars everywhere.

And, naturally, we were paying particularly close attention to what was happening at ground level.

Because some of those golf shoes were looking rather fabulous too.

Europe Reclaim the Solheim Cup

After two extraordinary days at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, Europe and the USA went into Sunday's singles completely level at 8–8.

Everything came down to the final day.

And Europe delivered, reclaiming the Solheim Cup in front of a jubilant home crowd.

For women's golf, it has been another wonderful showcase: brilliant players, huge personalities, enormous pressure and the sort of team spirit that makes the Solheim Cup unlike almost anything else in golf.

But there was also something else on show.

Can We Talk About Those European Uniforms?

Because Team Europe have looked fantastic.

The 2026 European collection was created by PING in collaboration with captain Anna Nordqvist and vice-captain Mel Reid, using Europe's familiar blue, yellow and white alongside details inspired by host nation the Netherlands.

And the stars have been brilliant.

Not tiny little details hidden somewhere on a collar.

Proper, joyful European stars.

The whole look has felt modern, confident and - importantly - fun.

Which is something we've been talking about a lot at Love Your Laces.

Women's Golf Doesn't Have to Be Beige

Golf fashion has changed.

Women aren't simply turning up in interchangeable navy trousers and white polos anymore.

We're seeing colour.

Patterns.

Coordinated outfits.

Interesting shoes.

Accessories with personality.

And increasingly, the little details matter just as much as the big ones.

Which brings us, inevitably, to...

The Shoelaces

We may have been paying slightly more attention to these than everybody else.

For reasons that should be fairly obvious.

And look at this photograph.

A group of golfers. White golf shoes.

And almost every pair transformed with blue patterned laces.

That's exactly why we love shoelaces.

Nobody needed a new pair of golf shoes.

The shoes themselves are all different.

But add the same blue-and-white laces and suddenly there's a connection between all of them.

They're a team.

And they look fabulous.

The £6 Golf-Fashion Upgrade

This is perhaps our favourite lesson from the whole Solheim Cup week.

You don't have to spend hundreds of pounds changing your golf wardrobe to introduce colour.

Take the white golf shoes you already own.

Now imagine them with:

💙 blue laces
💛 yellow laces
⭐ blue-and-yellow patterns
🌈 rainbow laces
💗 bright pink
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 tartan

Same shoes.

Completely different personality.

And when you're coordinating an event, golf trip or team day, matching laces are a wonderfully simple way of creating a shared look without asking everyone to buy identical shoes.

We Know This One First-Hand

And this is where today's story becomes particularly special for us.

The photograph accompanying this article comes from Evolv3Golf, whose golfers wore Love Your Laces shoelaces as part of their Solheim Cup celebrations.

Seeing all those feet together - different shoes, different golfers, one fabulous set of blue laces - is exactly what Love Your Laces is about.

A tiny detail.

A little bit of fun.

And suddenly everyone looks like they belongs together.

We couldn't have asked for a better photograph from Evolv3Golf in Fife.

Golf Is Supposed to Be Fun

That's perhaps the biggest takeaway from this year's Solheim Cup.

Yes, this is elite sport.

Yes, these women are competing under extraordinary pressure.

But the Solheim Cup also reminds us that golf can be loud, colourful, emotional, social and enormous fun.

The crowds dress up.

The players celebrate.

The teams wear their colours proudly.

And the clothes are part of the occasion.

So why shouldn't the rest of us do the same?

Wear the pink polo.

Put on the starry trousers.

Choose the ridiculous hat.

And for goodness' sake...

change the laces.

Congratulations, Europe 💙💛

To Anna Nordqvist and the entire European team - congratulations.

What a victory.

What a tournament.

And what a fabulous-looking team.

Europe have the Solheim Cup back.

And we're claiming a very small victory for colourful golf shoes too.
